What Are the Functions and Characteristics of Medical Disposable Protective Clothing?

Front-line medical staff also wear protective clothing in addition to masks. Is the protective clothing disposable? What are the functions and characteristics of medical disposable protective clothing? Let's take a look!

Ⅰ. When should the staff wear medical disposable protective clothing?

1. Clinical medical staff come into contact with patients with infectious diseases of Class A or managed according to Class A.

2. Patients who are exposed to airborne or droplet-borne infectious diseases may be splashed by the patient's blood, body fluids, secretions and excrement.

Protective clothing is medical protective equipment, which is not easy to put on and take off. The general population does not need to use medical protective suit. If infectious diseases are spread, you can prevent them by washing your hands frequently, going out less, wearing masks when going out, and not gathering together.

Ⅱ. Are medical protective suit disposable?

Protective clothing is disposable. Protective clothing can only be used for simple protection and may be damaged during the disinfection process. If you want to reuse protective clothing, you need to go through relevant testing, so the cost and risk are relatively high.

In terms of cost and risk, protective clothing is not worth reusing. If you want to use medical disposable protective clothing multiple times, you can buy isolation clothing, which is fully enclosed. From a professional point of view, isolation suits are safe.

Ⅲ. Functions and characteristics of medical disposable protective clothing

Function: Medical disposable protective clothing refers to the disposable protective equipment worn by clinical medical staff when they come into contact with Class A patients or infectious diseases managed by Class A infectious diseases.

Features: Medical disposable protective clothing should have good waterproofness, antistatic properties, filtration efficiency, no skin irritation, easy to put on and take off, tight joints, elastic cuffs and ankle openings, etc.

Ⅳ. The ventilation principle of medical disposable protective clothing

Medical disposable protective clothing materials are micro-nano materials (ie, hydrophobic, hydrophobic, hydrophobic, anti-alcohol, anti-static) that meet the requirements of "three repelling primary antibodies".

This kind of composite material can be composited with different materials such as polyethylene/polypropylene spunbond non-woven fabric and air permeable microporous membrane or other non-woven fabrics, or spunlace non-woven fabric composited with air permeable microporous membrane.

In addition, some of the films made of PTFE can be used to make fabrics for medical protective suit. Among these materials, breathable microporous films are particularly important.

The polyethylene breathable film has excellent effect in blocking the penetration of bacterial particles and liquid, and the hand feeling can be adjusted by changing the softness of the composite fabric.

It has strong tensile strength, good breathability, greatly improves fit performance, and can withstand sterilization treatment without toxic ingredients.

Inorganic + stretching = micropores, but in fact, only micropores of medical disposable protective clothing with careful operation, suitable size and uniform distribution are effective.

When the water vapor concentration on one side of the film is greater than the environment on the other side of the film, a humidity gradient differential pressure will be formed, which provides the basic conditions for gas (steam) convection, so that the humidity environment on both sides of the film is relatively balanced.
